Sheriff, Klamath County Oregon

Frank was born and attended school in Los Angeles. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent six years active duty. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Medical–Dental Prosthetic School. Nearing the end of his military service he became interested in law enforcement and applied for a position with the Los Angeles Police Department. Honorably discharged from the Navy on July 13, 1967, eighteen days later, he began his first day at the Los Angeles Police Academy on July 31, 1967.

After graduation from the academy, Frank worked his way up the ranks as a patrol officer, walked a beat, worked as a field training officer, as an undercover vice investigator and detective. During his detective assignment he worked juvenile, burglary, robbery and homicide. He was then selected as a detective within the Organized Crime Intelligence Division where he spent eighteen of his twenty five years of service with L.A.P.D. He retired in July 1992 as a Supervisor of Detectives.

He then moved from Los Angeles to Lake Almanor, (North-Eastern) California. For several years Frank, as a contract investigator for the Chief Administrative Officer of Lassen County, California, worked to defend the county against litigation and other personnel related matters.

Frank was then selected by Presiding Superior Court Judge Stephen D. Bradbury and spent the next nine years as a California Superior Court Investigator in the areas of Probate Law: Conservatorship, Guardianship, Child Custody, Adoption and special investigations requested by the court.

Athletics has always been his enjoyment and to that end Frank has coached Baseball for almost thirty years at the High School, Junior College and University levels. He has been selected by his peers as“Coach of The Year” three times.

Frank was elected Sheriff of Klamath County November 6, 2012. “Public Service has been my career, starting with my military service, twenty-five years with L.A.P.D, as an investigator for Lassen County, as an investigator for the California Superior Court and now as Sheriff of Klamath County. I have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success because of the fine men and women I have had the pleasure to work with.”
