Darren Frank,

Sergeant, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office,

Darren was born in Lakeview Oregon, attended school in both Klamath and Lake Counties, and graduated from Lakeview High School. He was hired by the Sheriff’s Office in 1995 as a Corrections Deputy, where he worked until November 1996 when he transferred to patrol. Darren was the east county resident Deputy until 1997 when he transferred to Gilchrist as the Resident Deputy in northern Klamath County. In 2012 he was promoted to Sergeant still patrolling northern Klamath County and carrying out the duties as Sergeant.

Darren has been a range master for Klamath County Sheriff’s Office since 1998. He is the assistant Search and Rescue Coordinator and a search manager. Darren has been the Sheriff’s Posse adviser since 2010. He also has been a member of the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. 

Darren grew up in both Klamath and Lake Counties where his family has lived for generations; He carries on a family tradition of service to the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and was recently presented his Great Grandfathers Klamath County Deputy Sheriff badge.  He has a background in ranching and still raises reining Quarter Horses as a family business. He is a large animal investigator. He has served as President of the Oregon Reining Horse Association, and still Judges reining horse shows.

Darren has been a board member of the Walker Range Fire Protection District since 1998. Darren served on the Central Oregon Arson Task Force as a wild land fire investigator.
