Deputies recover property
linked to 26 burglaries
On Monday February 24th, 2014 Klamath County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a large amount of property stemming from approximately 26 commercial burglaries which occurred over the last two weeks.
School resource officers were able to identify at least one suspect from video footage obtained from one of the crime scenes. The investigating Deputies, school resource officers, school staff and administers were able to develop at least 6 suspects several arrests have been made. More arrests are expected. The investigation is ongoing. The names of the suspects are not being released to the public because the investigation is ongoing.
Property that has been seized from various locations consists of marijuana, firearms, swords, knives, precious metals, and electronics. With numerous firearms still outstanding the safety of the students and the public are the primary focus, however, recovering stolen property is always a high priority.
We are not aware of any direct threats being made at this time.
