Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Honors Emergency Airlift Pilots, Crew and ground support personnel
The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office presented Emergency Airlift Pilots Tim Helms and Chuck Baty certificates of appreciation, for their actions as pilots during high risk flight operations in support of the Sheriff’s Office. These operations typically took place on very short notice, in adverse weather conditions, or conditions that are high risk to the aircraft and crew. As direct result of their participation in these operations, several subjects who committed violent crimes or fleeing police were apprehended. Recently the aircrew located a lost person within 30 minutes of entering the search area in the Sky Lakes Wilderness. Upon request from the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Airlift provides a helicopter and crew at no charge to the community for these types incidents.
The Sheriff’s Office on behalf of our residents are very appreciative of Emergency Airlifts generosity and professionalism; honoring Emergency Airlift and its’ employees with a Distinguished Action Certificate.
