In the matter of approving the minutes from the February 7, 2023 Business Meeting. - BOCC

Background: Approve the Minutes which summarize all business by the Board of Commissioners for the Business Meeting held on the date stated above.

Recommended Motion: Approve the minutes as presented. Fiscal Impact is None.

Agreements

1.

In the matter of approving an agreement with Moss Adams. - BOCC

Background: The Board of County Commissioners issued a Request for Proposals to help facilitate creating a County Strategic Plan. The review committee chose Moss Adams and the Board of Commissioners formally accepted their proposal at the January 31, 2023 Business Meeting. This agreement details the terms and scope of work related to creating a County Strategic Plan. 

Recommended Motion: Approve the agreement with Moss Adams. Fiscal Impact: Expenditure not to exceed $66,000.00.

In the matter of approving Amendment #1 to the Klamath Ice Sports Tourism Grant Agreement. - Vickie Noel

Background: Klamath Ice Sports was awarded a contract for a Tourism Competitive Grant on May 25, 2022. The contract completion date is February 17, 2023. Due to the unforeseen circumstances related to product availability as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bob Kingzett, Board President, has requested an extension to complete the Klamath Ice Sports Tourism Project – Phase 1. The attached amendment extends the contract for 6 months expiring on August 17, 2023.

Recommended Motion: Motion to approve Amendment #1 to the contract between Klamath County and Klamath Ice Sports. Fiscal Impact: There is no fiscal impact.

In the matter of approving and signing Klamath County Domestic Well Financial Assistance grant agreements – Vickie Noel, Finance Director

Background: The Domestic Well Grant Review Panel met on May 5, 2022 to review and recommend grant applications to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for funding. The BOCC reviewed the recommendations and approved funding to grant recipients during the Admin meeting on June 7, 2022. The following grant recipients have satisfied all grant submissions and the agreements are complete and signed by the applicants.

Megan SOLUS $13,522.50

Recommended Motion: Approve and sign the Klamath County Domestic Well Financial Assistance Grant agreements with above recipients. Fiscal impact of $13,522.50 expenditure from the Commissioners Miscellaneous Grant Fund.

Library Service District

1.

In the matter of executing the contract between Klamath County Library and Cardinal Flooring and Supply for the replacement of the carpet at the Main Library. Nathalie Johnston, Library

Background: The Library Board awarded the bid for the above referenced project.  Execution of the contract finalizes the award.

Recommended Motion: Board to approve and sign the contract between the Klamath County Library and Cardinal Flooring and Supply . Fiscal Impact: $66,470.73 from the Klamath County Library Reserve line item 2511-5010-3060-5000-70220 Facilities Improvement
